Carcass

Carcass is a cross-platform (i.e. it runs on Windows, Mac and Linux) corpus query tool that operates on very large corpora (up to 2 billion tokens) with linguistic annotations (e.g. part-of-speech, lemma, etc).

Carcass can currently give you access to 100-million-token subsets of the widely used Wacky corpora (i.e. DeWaC, FrWaC, ItWaC, RuWac and UkWaC), see this page for more information on the Wacky corpora.

If you just want to use our corpora, all you need is Carcass.

Corpse

You don't need this if you just want to use our corpora.

Corpse is the server component of the Sarcophagus client/server architecture, it's the component that accepts connections, manages users, allocates resources and runs the actual queries on CQP

Corpse is not available for download at the moment, if you are interested in setting up a Corpse server to make your CWB corpora available on the Internet (or just on a local network) contact us.
